Dr. Carreon completed her postgraduate training in University of Texas Medical Branch, and became board certified in Family Medicine. Throughout her years doing aesthetic procedures, she educates and assists patients in understanding how advances in minimally invasive surgical techniques could provide them, by using only local anesthesia. She continually expands her knowledge base, by attending aesthetic conferences and advanced training seminars on procedures using only local anesthesia.

In May 2004, Dr. Carreon founded Laser Cosmetic Solutions in Seguin, Texas, and now devotes her full-time efforts, performing procedures all under local anesthesia. She has developed a reputation for having an outstanding bedside manner, and treating all of her patients with care and compassion. Dr. Carreon stands by her belief that all of her patients should be "treated as if they are family“. She has been performing Liposuction using the Tumescent Technique since 2005. She has been performing Smartlipo (Smart Lipo) since June 2007, and has performed over 800 Smartlipo individual patients, experience counts! Dr. Carreon was also THE FIRST to perform using the SmartLipo(Smart Lipo) MPX 46 WATT, in Texas. The facility is an official Smart Lipo MPX 46 watt training center for Physicians. Dr. Carreon has performed SmartLipo on many Registered Nurses. Dr. Carreon has also performed Smartlipo on Physicians and their wives, which is the highest honor bestowed between Physicians.
